Thank you for your interest in joining the world’s largest conversation about “all things Greek in English.” We welcome your participation in this ongoing conversation. Please read below some guidelines. It is important to remember, we DO NOT accept emailed submissions. You MUST submit a form with your content, which is included at the bottom of this page.
What kind of content do you accept?
The Pappas Post covers “the world of Greece in English,” so that leaves the writer with some pretty wide parameters. We welcome any content that pertains to anything with a Greek connection. We do not accept placement of commercial publicity or product or book promotions.
What kind of content DON’T you accept?
We won’t edit your voice (except for typos) and we won’t shy away from controversial topics that might not align with our viewpoint as a publication. After all, how powerful is a section called “Voices” if it only contains ones with which we agree?
Of course, we do have some limitations and won’t allow personal attacks, profanity or topics that condone or encourage violence or hate. Furthermore, all pieces in the “Voices” section will carry a disclaimer that the said piece is clearly the opinion of the writer.
Your post must be original and must have never been published before on the Internet. By agreeing to share on The Pappas Post’s “Voices” section, you agree that this content will ONLY be published here. If we find your content elsewhere, we WILL remove your content from our website.
There is no minimum length, but we recommend about 500 to 1000 words (max) as we understand attention spans of readers online.
An accompanying image is optional (we’ll include one if you don’t). In the upload link, you will find an option to include an image. If you do, please make sure that the image is horizontal and able to be cropped to 1170 x 780 pixels.
You must also submit an author bio. Recommended author bio length is 50-75 words. You can include 1-2 links in the author bio, which will be displayed at the bottom of the post.
Include a clear, close-up headshot of yourself, at least 100×100 pixels, JPG or PNG format.
Submission does not automatically mean your post will be published. All submissions will be reviewed in a timely basis. The publisher of The Pappas Post has sole authority on whether or not your piece will be published.
You MUST use this submission form to submit your materials. We DO NOT accept emailed submissions or photographs. By using the submission form you give us the authority to publish your content and you consent that you have written the content yourself. The Pappas Post takes no blame for any recrimination that may come from your post.
