Refugees living in the streets of Athens were asked what they wished for and dreamed about…
Posters are popping up in central Athens carrying answers from refugees— what they hope and wish for and what they dream of. There is no hashtag or campaign website— only simple words, responses to simple questions, answered by people ravaged by war and living in shelters and on the streets of Greece.
Some of the answers are heart-wrenching.
The posters began appearing on walls and on lamp posts throughout the center of Athens last week.

I want my life to be worth something.

I can't think of anything beyond wanting a job and a bit of money. It's impossible to think of something else.

I miss my tent with the fire burning outside. I miss walking barefoot in the dirt in my village. I miss being away from there and speaking my language every day.

I don't have anything. Not even papers.
