European Union ministers arriving for a meeting at Amsterdam’s Maritime Museum, where plans to seal off the Greek-FYROM border were on the table, were met by protesters carrying a stern warning.
Assembled in two boats, one full of mannequin dummies wearing red life vests similar to those worn by refugees crossing from Turkey and another with a large sign saying: “Leaders of Europe, it’s not the polls you should worry about. It’s the history books.”
The ministers discussed plans to seal off Greece from the passport-free Schengen zone, blaming the country for its inability to stop refugees from arriving on its frontier islands.
