In what could be a scene out of steamy soap opera episode or a chapter of a 50 Shades of Grey book, Greek heiress Athina Onassis has separated from her Brazilian husband after he was caught by her security guards— in bed with another woman.
Alvaro de Miranda Neto, known as “Doda” to his circle of friends wed Onassis over a decade ago but, according to an exclusive story in the Daily Mail, wasn’t too good at keeping his vows.
Doda was caught in bed with an unidentified blond woman at the couple’s home in Florida. The Daily Mail reports that he begged the security guards not to tell Onassis.
They did— after all it’s Onassis who signs their paychecks and she immediately packed her bags and headed to Europe.
Onassis has stayed out of the media spotlight— apart from her passion— equestrian riding.
She inherited almost $3 billion on her 18th birthday from the fortune amassed by her grandfather, Greek shipping magnate Aristotle Onassis.
“I am really in the midst of a storm,’ Miranda, 43, admitted to Brazilian magazine Epoca, “but I will not give up on my love. It won’t be easy but I will fight until the end.”
Athina, 31, is an international equestrian and hopes to represent Greece in this summer’s Olympics in Rio.
