U.S. Senator Thinks Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras Deserves Nobel Peace Prize

United States Senator Chris Murphy hailed the Greek government’s passing of the controversial Prespes Agreement with its northern neighbor in a tweet which included a shared BBC News article and compliments to the two leaders who negotiated the deal.

In his tweet, Senator Murphy called Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras and his counterpart Zoran Zaev “bold” leaders and suggested that the duo should win the Nobel Peace Prize.

“This is what real, bold leadership looks like. Prime Ministers Zaev and Tsipras deserve the Nobel Prize for this historic achievement that will save lives,” Murphy said.

The senator didn’t clarify the statement about how the agreement will “save lives.”
