Strong Greek Presence at 2019 Academy Awards

The Greek presence is strong this year at the 2019 Academy Awards which will take place on Sunday, February 24, 2019 at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles.

If you didn’t score a ticket to the Oscars, you can still watch the awards with a gang of Greeks at a viewing party organized by the folks at the Los Angeles Greek Film Festival, whose ranks and films screened account for more than a share of golden trophies.

Have a drink and watch the Oscars on Sunday, February 24 at The Smoke House Restaurant (4420 W Lakeside Dr, Burbank, CA 91505 at 4:30pm) with the LAGFF team and simultaneously, cheer on the strong Greek presence this year.

Greek surrealist Yorgos Lanthimos’ film “The Favourite” swept the nominations this year with 10 total. His films have been called bizarre and genius.
