Emily in Paris Goes Greek: Netflix Reveals First Look at Final Season

Emily Cooper is trading Parisian rooftops for the Aegean — at least for a little while.

Netflix on Wednesday released the first official images from the sixth and final season of Emily in Paris, offering the clearest look yet at a storyline that will take one of the streaming service’s most recognizable characters to Greece.

The final season will premiere globally on Netflix on December 24, 2026.

For Greek viewers — and anyone who followed the production frenzy on Mykonos earlier this summer — the first-look images confirm what had already become one of the island’s most talked-about pop-culture moments of the year.

Lily Collins, who plays Emily Cooper, and Lucas Bravo, who plays Gabriel, are shown reunited in Greece after Season 5 ended with Gabriel sending Emily a postcard inviting her to join him.

It is the payoff to a cliffhanger Netflix planted months ago.

But Greece is more than a convenient plot device.

Series creator Darren Star told Netflix that he wanted the sixth season to feel like the biggest Emily in Paris experience yet.

“Greece was somewhere we really wanted to showcase in a spectacular way,” Star said.

He described the move as part of the show’s larger fantasy of being able to move easily between extraordinary European places, cultures and experiences.

And this time, Mykonos gets its turn.

Production for the final season began in Greece in May, with the cast and crew descending on the island for an extended shoot before production moved on to Monaco and eventually returned to France.

Filming was documented at Agios Sostis beach, while cameras later appeared around the iconic Mykonos windmills, where Collins and Bravo were photographed filming against one of the island’s most recognizable sunset backdrops.

JackieO’ Mykonos said the stage at its Beach Club at Super Paradise was created for the production and thanked the team for choosing the venue as one of the final season’s locations.

It is hard to imagine a more natural collision of television worlds.

A series built around fashion, romance, beautiful people, improbable European adventures and relentlessly photogenic settings arrives on an island famous for… fashion, romance, beautiful people, improbable European adventures and relentlessly photogenic settings.

Mykonos was practically waiting for Emily Cooper.

The Greek chapter also brings the story back to one of the show’s longest-running relationships.

At the end of Season 5, Gabriel — working aboard the yacht of billionaire Thomas Heatherton — is given time off in Greece. After learning that Emily is single again, he sends her an invitation to join him.

The new images suggest she accepts.

Netflix has not revealed how long the Greek storyline will last, and the series will ultimately return to Paris for its farewell. The season will also include Monaco among its locations.

But even a short Emily in Paris stay could provide enormous international exposure for Greece.

Season 5 attracted 26.8 million views globally during its first 11 days, according to Netflix, reaching No. 1 in 24 countries and appearing in the Top 10 in 91.

That is a very large audience about to see a very glamorous version of the Greek islands.

The show has never pretended to be a documentary about European life. Its appeal is fantasy: the clothes are more fabulous, the romances more complicated, the offices more glamorous and apparently every European city is only one fabulous outfit away.

For its farewell season, Greece gets to become part of that fantasy.

Emily in Paris Season 6 premieres on Netflix on December 24.

And for at least part of her final adventure, Emily in Paris will be very much Emily in Mykonos.
