The new promotional spot advertising the upcoming European Athletic Team Championships taking place in Crete this summer has gone viral in Greece. The spot, taking place in a Cretan village and starring a villager named Manoussos, calls on the people of Greece to support the efforts of the hosts in Crete by attending the events.
Papadoulakis, who owns a production company in Hania, Crete, has done numerous spots for Crete’s tourist promotion. The acclaimed director also directed The Island (To Nisi) the well-known Greek television series and is also working on a feature film about World War II and the survival of the tiny Jewish community of Zakynthos.
