Called a “historic first” to have the two leaders together on the same stage from the two communities of Cyprus— the recognized Greek Cypriot side and the Turkish north, Cypriot President Nicos Anastasiades and Turkish Cypriot leader Mustafa Akinci met at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.
