Greek American Motorcycle Association Offering Church Camp Scholarships to Midwest Youth

The Greek American Motorcycle Association (GAMA) is once again offering four scholarships to qualified young people to attend Fanari Summer Camp in 2017, the official camp of the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Chicago.

To apply for the $500 scholarship candidates must submit applications by Sunday, April 30, 2017. Visit GAMA’s website for full details and instructions.

The Greek American Motorcycle Association (GAMA) was a concept a few cousins and some close friends started in the mid-1990s. Today, GAMA is a non-profit organization that has grown over the past few years to include dozens of motorcycle enthusiasts.

GAMA was incorporated as a not-for-profit association in 2009 and has participated in various biker oriented philanthropic events over the years.

The group begins every biking season with a “blessing of the bikes” which is officiated by Bishop Demetrios of Mokissos and area clergy, who are also members of the association.
