Get Paid to Take Care of 55 Cats, Live on a Greek Island

To live on a Greek island reads like a dream in and of itself, but now while staying there you can even make a comfortable living… watching cats. 55 of them.

No, that’s not a misprint.

On the gorgeous Aegean island of Syros, a cat sanctuary and adoption center is looking for a qualified candidate to help take care of 55 felines.

The organization — God’s Little People Cat Rescue — announced the offer in a job posting via Facebook earlier in August.

According to the description, the rescue group is looking for “a mature and genuinely passionate cat lover,” and ideally someone 45+ years old who is “responsible, reliable, honest, practically inclined – and really, with a heart of gold.”

In exchange for four hours of work per day, the chosen cat caretaker will be given a home with a private garden, free utilities, salary and — not to mention — the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to live on a beautiful Greek island replete with incredible art, architecture, history, crystal clear water and overall tranquility.

Currently housing more than 60 rescued cats, the privately-funded sanctuary feeds strays, does neuter and spay and rescues sick and needy felines.

The job candidate is expected to stay in the role for at least six months and must be available starting in October.
