How to Watch Team Greece in FIBA World Cup

The Greek National Basketball team has already begun its journey in the 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup.

In its opening game on Sunday, the “Ethniki” dominated Montenegro 85-60 for its first Group F victory. But the team fell 79-78 in a tightly contested match against Brazil on Tuesday.

In the current first round of the FIBA Cup, Greece will play one more game against New Zealand — Thursday, September 5 at 8 PM (local China time).

The team’s 12-man roster includes: Nick Kalathis, Antonis Koniaris, Evangelos Mantzaris, Giannoulis Larentzakis, Costas Papanikolaou, Thanasis Antetokounmpo, Ioannis Papapetrou, Panagiotis Vassilopoulos, George Printezis, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Ioannis Bourousis and George Papagiannis.

United States

ESPN is broadcasting all matches live online via its streaming service ESPN+. The cost is $4.99 per month and includes access on laptop, desktop, mobile app and TV streamer apps such as Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, Roku, PS4 and Xbox.

In order to find ESPN+ coverage outside of the US, viewers may try using a VPN service to access it from abroad.

Canada

The streaming service DAZN is showing all matches live while offering a one-month free trial, followed by a rolling $20/month or $150/year subscription. 

DAZN supports iOS and Android phones and tablets, Amazon Fire TV, Android TV, Chromecast, Apple TV and various Smart TVs.

Australia

Fox Sports Australia is broadcasting the FIBA World Cup. The package is not cheap, a two-week free trial is available.

Australians can also live stream the tournament via the streaming service Kayo Sports featuring no lock-in contracts and access to more than 50 sports — live and on demand.

United Kingdom

The streaming service LiveBasketball.tv is offering a special FIBA World Cup Pass which provides live access to all 92 tournament games. The pass costs £6.99 and lasts for the duration the tournament. There is also a monthly option which costs the same amount and offers international basketball coverage year round.
