Construction will begin on the tallest building ever built in Greece following final permits that were granted to Lamda Development, the company behind the massive Hellinikon project.
According to a company announcement, Riviera Tower will be one of the hallmark buildings of the multi-purpose project that will include one of the largest parks in Europe; cultural and recreational activities; shopping and residential real estate. The tower will be comprised of 50 floors and 180 apartment units.
The key feature of the design approach, as announced, is the creation of an aesthetically modest building, in full harmony with the sea and the special characteristics of the Mediterranean landscape.
The important presence of the green and the water element will stand out, thus strengthening the bioclimatic character of the building.
Dozens of Greek government ministries, departments, offices and almost 2,000 designs all formed part of the permit process, according to the announcement.
