Greece’s Aegean Airlines has rolled out four new summer routes linking Istanbul, Turkey to four Greek islands.
New nonstop service to Heraklion (Crete), Rhodes, Mykonos, and Santorini will begin in June.
Additionally, a brand-new Thessaloniki–Izmir connection will debut in June, offering twice-weekly service.
Details of the New Routes and Flight Schedules
The newly scheduled flights will run between June and October 2025, with a combination of weekly and bi-weekly services connecting four of Greece’s most popular islands and Istanbul, one of the busiest airports in the world. Below is a detailed breakdown of the new routes, including schedules and flight frequencies.
- Irakleion (Heraklion) to Istanbul (June 2, 2025 – October 2, 2025).
Flight A3434 will depart Irakleion International Airport (HER) at the following times:
07:30 – 08:55 (on Mondays)
09:50 – 11:15 (on Tuesdays)
15:05 – 16:30 (on Saturdays)
16:20 – 17:45 (on Thursdays)
Flight A3435 will return from Istanbul Airport (IST) at:
09:45 – 11:15 (on Mondays)
16:00 – 17:30 (on Tuesdays)
21:15 – 22:45 (on Saturdays)
22:30 – 00:01+1 (on Thursdays)
- Mykonos to Istanbul (June 5, 2025 – October 2, 2025)
Flight A3440 will depart Mykonos Airport (JMK) at 20:30 and arrive in Istanbul at 21:40 on Thursdays.
Flight A3441 will depart Istanbul Airport (IST) at 18:35 and arrive in Mykonos at 19:45 on the same day.
- Rhodes to Istanbul (Effective May 20, 2025)
Flight A3436 will depart Rhodes International Airport (RHO) at 07:00 and arrive in Istanbul at 08:00 on Tuesdays and Sundays.
Flight A3437 will depart Istanbul Airport (IST) at 08:50 and arrive in Rhodes at 09:50 on the same days.
- Thira (Santorini) to Istanbul (June 3, 2025 – October 4, 2025)
Flight A3438 will depart Santorini’s Thira National Airport (JTR) at 14:00 and arrive in Istanbul at 15:10 on Tuesdays. On Saturdays, it will depart at 19:15 and arrive at 20:25.
Flight A3439 will depart Istanbul Airport (IST) at 12:05 and arrive in Santorini at 13:15 on Tuesdays, with the Saturday flight departing at 17:20 and arriving at 18:30.
