These are the “national” cookies of Greece, particularly during the festive holiday season and occupy a place of honor on every Greek Paschal table right next to traditional Tsoureki and red-dyed eggs.
Akis Petretzikis is one of Greece’s most popular chefs and appears regularly on television shows where he shares his unique recipes and perspective on Greek food.
His YouTube channel is one of the most popular in Greece, with tens of thousands of subscribers.
