An Athens-based design agency has received prestigious U.S. awards for its branding of a Greek olive oil company.
The AG Design Agency was recognized for its work with Levantes Family Farm, a small group in Evvoia, Greece that produces artisan small-batch extra virgin olive oil.
On May 8, a panel of international design experts at the 2019 Dieline Awards in Chicago awarded Levantes with a silver prize. The small family farm was selected among 1,500 entries from more than 20 countries.
On May 6, judges at the ADC 98th Annual Awards in New York City awarded Levantes with a bronze prize. ADC is the oldest continuously running industry award show in the world.
The AG Design Agency is a full-service, award winning brand design agency that works with clients across industries. The company operates internationally and produces work that includes brand identities, products, logos and websites, among other aspects.
According to the agency, its collaboration with Levantes Family Farm was based on the farm’s need for a new “visual story” to represent the family’s experiences.
“From the very beginning, we interviewed all family members, which helped us understand better their roles and responsibilities,” the agency said in a statement. “In order to be able to demonstrate that on the product line, we had to photograph and illustrate each family member on a typical day at work.”
The agency said that each member of the Levantes Family Farm has a very “strategic role” in its olive oil production.
“The farm is its people,” the agency said. “We wanted to represent that on the packaging as well as the overall communication of the family business.”
