Dr. Andreas Iliadis, a pediatrician from Patras is working in a medical facility on the island of Lesvos. He shared this photo on his Facebook page and wrote
“One of the most beautiful moments of my life… The smile of an infant in the medical facility of doctors from Achaia who are working on Lesvos. A day without a smile is a lost day. Good morning to all!”
Iliadis is part of a team of doctors from the Greek mainland who have relocated to Lesvos to work in medical facilities set up to treat incoming refugees. The photo of Iliadis and a refugee infant was taken by Sophia Hatzilambrou, a volunteer assisting at the facility.
