Direct Train Link Inaugurated Between Piraeus Port and Athens Airport

What once took more than an hour and a half and a clumsy schedule of trains and busses is now door to door train service between two of the country’s most important tourist transit points.

As of February 1, 2018, Athens International Airport and the Port of Piraeus have been linked with direct rail service.

Station to station, the journey takes about an hour.

The new service is expected to offer travelers arriving at Eleftherios Venizelos International Airport with the most direct possible option to a ferry boat network to hundreds of island locations throughout the Aegean.
