Ouzo Talk Podcast features ‘The Chosen’ actor, George Xanthis

The Ouzo Talk Podcast for the Greek diaspora welcomed actor and producer George Xanthis to talk about his role in the landmark Biblical series The Chosen, where he plays the role of St John the Apostle.

While Xanthis may keep on-screen company with some of the holiest figures in Christianity, the Greek-Australian enjoyed the ‘parea’ of the Ouzo Talk studio where he shared a drink and mezze with co-hosts Tom Skolarikis and Nick Athanassiou while talking about his budding career.

From the auditioning process, to shooting on-location with a cast that includes the likes of Jonathan Roumie, Elizabeth Tabish and Erick Avery – among a host of others – Xanthis is candid about his experiences on-set, in addition to the profound effect the show has had on his own faith.

The Australian-born actor also tells Ouzo Talk about his Greek heritage, growing up Greek in the diaspora, in addition to revealing his ambition to be a voice actor.

Created and presented by co-hosts Skolarikis and Athanassiou, the Ouzo Talk Podcast is the podcast for the Greek diaspora, featuring episodes on some of the world’s most influential and interesting Greeks and Greek-related topics including the Parthenon Marbles, Greek olive oil, and Orthodox Easter traditions.
