Swiss Hospitality Brand Mövenpick Enters Greek Market with Resort in Epirus

The Swiss hospitality brand Mövenpick has officially entered the Greek market with the opening of its first resort, located in the seaside town of Sivota in the Thesprotia region of Epirus.

The resort offers 72 rooms and suites, many featuring private pools and terraces. Built on the grounds of a former family-run hotel operated by the Pitoulis family since 1996, the property now joins Accor’s premium portfolio in Greece, which includes 11 other properties across destinations such as Athens, Crete, and Rhodes.

The resort blends refined comfort with natural beauty, featuring an adults-only infinity pool, a spacious outdoor pool, a private beach, and its own marina. Guests can also unwind on the exclusive St. Giorgio private deck or explore the surrounding landscapes, making it an ideal destination for relaxation and quiet escape.

Culinary offerings include the Eos Buffet Restaurant, Skipper Beach Bar, and Islands Snack Bar & Restaurant, all emphasizing local ingredients and Mediterranean flavors. Mövenpick’s signature “Chocolate Hour” is also available daily.

Alan O’Dea Senior Vice President Operations Premium Europe & North Africa της Accor emphasized that Greece remains one of the most inspiring and strategically important markets or Accor, while the Pitoulis family, who continue to play a key role through their company Pitoulis S.A., expressed that their long-term vision is to elevate the Epirus region on the international tourism map.
