Hollywood superstar Arnold Schwarzenegger has excited fans about his next project, in which he is set to play the Greek god Zeus.
In a recent post on Instagram, the actor turned politician shared a poster for an upcoming project titled “Zeus” with a cryptic caption: “Coming February 2022.”
In the teaser poster, Schwarzenegger is seen channeling the king of gods of Mount Olympus in Greek mythology.
Since the post, social media users have been speculating as to what the project may be, with writers and fans mostly opting for a Super Bowl commercial.
“Arnold Schwarzenegger is teasing us with his upcoming role as Zeus; however, fans are convinced that the actor-turned-politician might be starring in a commercial for the Super Bowl LVI that will be broadcasted at 6:30 PM on Sunday, February 13,” wrote Shirley Gomez in an article for entertainment and lifestyle publication Hola!
Five days after Schwarzenegger shared the poster on Instagram, BMW released a teaser advertisement with the former “Terminator” star dressed as the Greek god of lightning.
The “Zeus” project wouldn’t be the first time Schwarzenegger has played a Greek mythical figure. In 1970 he starred in “Hercules in New York,” where he played the role of Hercules, who, after leaving Mount Olympus, engages in escapades after traveling to New York City.
