British Airways has announced that it will launch flights between London Gatwick and Mykonos beginning June 10 this year.

The British airline already has flights from London Heathrow to Mykonos but will now resume flights between Gatwick and Mykonos after 15 years of not flying the route.

The airline is scheduled to use a 177-seat Airbus A320-200, with flights departing London in the morning and arriving into Mykonos early afternoon. 

“Fly to Mykonos with British Airways and take in the sun, sights and sounds of this beautiful Greek island. From the cosmopolitan nightlife of Mykonos town to the traditional whitewashed villages scattering the island, there is truly a place for everyone on Greece’s most fashionable island,” British Airways says on its website. 

“A vibrant culture and international food scene compliment the traditional tavernas and iconic windmills that overlook Mykonos’ miles of white sandy beaches – and it’s all waiting to be explored with direct flights from London Heathrow with BA. From June 2023 we’ll also fly to Mykonos from London Gatwick during the summer months.”
