It’s been decades since flights from New York to Greece have been so low— but one airline has just announced the unthinkable.
Emirates is celebrating its new daily non-stop service between Newark Liberty International Airport and Athens with companion fares of $999. That’s two tickets for under a thousand dollars even for peak summer travel. Specific travel periods apply, which are included in the link below.
The airline has also slashed its business class rates for this promotion, offering two business class tickets for $4,998.
Of course, you must always check the fine print for specials like this.
Tickets must be booked by April 17, 2017 and travel must be completed by December 18, 2017. Of course, that means you can book your peak summer travel with these special fares.
Fares are roundtrip, include all applicable government taxes and fees, and are subject to limited availability.
Emirates launched daily, year-round non-stop service between New York’s Newark International Airport and Athens in March. Major American carriers cried foul and complained that the service was a violation of agreements between the Middle Eastern countries and the United States.
Letters were sent to the Trump Administration by dozens of members of Congress representing the trade organizations of the U.S. airlines, asking President Trump to block the flight but no action was ever taken.
