A resurgence of Greek fashion appears to be in the air as two of the world’s top pop divas turned to Greek fashion muses for some very special appearances.
Beyonce wore an elegant blue gown by Vrettos Vrettakos, made from 400,000 Swarovski crystals at the Brit Awards at the O2 Arena on February 19, 2014 in London.
Born in Athens and raised in London, Vrettos Vrettakos graduated from the Royal College of Art with a Masters in womenswear in 2005
Rihanna celebrated her birthday 26th in Mary Katranzou’s floral padded jacket.
Well-known on the fashion circuit, Katrantzou was also born in Athens. She moved to the United States in 2003 to attend Rhode Island School of Design to study architecture. She then transferred to Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design where she completed both her Bachelor and Master’s degree.
