Mandarin Oriental Opening Its First Greek Hotel This Summer

International jet-setters have yet another option in Greece as Mandarin Oriental is set to open its highly anticipated first Greek property.

Mandarin Oriental in Greece will encompass a beachfront resort nestled amidst the breathtaking landscape in Navarino Bay, affording unparalleled views of the surrounding countryside and the historic bay of Navarino.

Mandarin Oriental at Costa Navarino is comprised of 99 suites and earth-sheltered villas with private pools and spacious terraces, offering authentic ultra-premium hospitality, characterized by complete privacy and tranquillity.

The hotel’s website is currently accepting reservations beginning August 15th and the nightly rate is €2,100.00 or approximately $2275.00 USD.

The resort’s design has been inspired from the local architectural heritage, embracing the natural beauty of the Messinia region with accents featuring local plants and other accents paying tribute to the region.

The earth-sheltered villas blend into the natural topography of the land and utilize local materials. Aligned with Costa Navarino’s sustainable development principles, the Navarino Bay site features 2,700 replanted olive trees and over 500,000 planted native shrubs.

The beachfront resort will be the first from the five-star hotel group to open in Greece and is part of the Costa Navarino complex, an upscale development that’s home to multiple high-end hotels, two world-class golf courses designed by German pro golfer Bernhard Langer, Robert Trent Jones II and José María Olazábal, a spa and thalassotherapy center, 20 dining outlets, recreational facilities, children’s activities and a host of historic and experiential events for the traveler.

The award-winning Hong Kong hotel group currently operates 36 hotels and seven residences in 24 countries and territories throughout the world.
