Tonight at 9:00 p.m. Greece time (2:00 p.m. EST), Greece selects the song that will represent the country at the Eurovision Song Contest—and this year, something historic is happening.
The Greek National Final, Sing for Greece, will be broadcast live on the official Eurovision YouTube channel and across ERT platforms worldwide.
But here’s the part that matters most to us:
For the first time ever, members of the Greek diaspora can vote online.
Yes. You. Wherever you are in the world.
Voting is open globally through the official portal here.
Now let’s address the elephant in the newsroom.
At The Pappas Post, we usually pride ourselves on balanced reporting. Neutral. Objective. Observers of the moment.
Not tonight. Tonight, we are proudly, unapologetically, enthusiastically part of Team Evangelia.
Evangelia is one of our own. A Greek American artist who has stayed true to her voice, her roots, and her rhythm. She represents the bridge between homeland and diaspora in the most authentic way possible. And we’re not pretending otherwise— we love her, we support her, and we want to see her on that Eurovision stage representing Greece.
So here’s your game plan:
- Tune in at 9:00 p.m. Greece / 2:00 p.m. EST via the official Eurovision YouTube livestream (outside Greece) or ERT platforms.
- Vote for Evangelia
- Text your cousins. Call your yiayia. Post it in the group chat.
If you’ve ever said the diaspora should have a voice— this is your moment.
Tonight, Greece chooses.
Tonight, the diaspora counts.
And tonight, we’re all in.
Let’s go, Evangelia. 🇬🇷🔥
