American films will star prominently in an upcoming film festival at the Hellenic American Union in Athens from October 19-21.
“Petit Plan: Americana II,” is the second annual popular tribute to American short films with free screenings open to the public at the union’s theater.
The festival will showcase movies from three prominent U.S. film festivals for three days of movies celebrating equality, diversity, social justice, human rights and quality cinema.
All films are screened with Greek subtitles and were previously presented as part of the Miami Short Film Festival, San Francisco International LGBTQ+ Film Festival and Children’s Film Festival Seattle.
The Hellenic American Union was founded in 1957 by a group of prominent Athenian citizens, American diplomats and educators who wanted to deepen the relationship between the peoples of the United States and Greece.
