Benaki Museum Announces Open Call for Leigh Fermor House Fellowships

The Benaki Museum has announced an open call for its prestigious Leigh Fermor House fellowships program for the academic year 2025-2026. Scholars from various disciplines are invited to apply for this residency opportunity at the Leigh Fermor House, located in Kardamyli, Messenia, Greece.

The fellowships, offered in collaboration with Freie Universität Berlin, Princeton University, and UCLA, support research aligned with the Benaki Museum’s extensive collections, as well as Greek and global history and culture. The program covers numerous fields, including art history, literature, and philosophy.

Each institution selects two fellows for the five-week residency, offered during the autumn and spring terms: November 5 – December 12, 2025, and February 11 – March 20, 2026. Detailed application criteria are available on the Fellowship Program’s official website.
