Ever wanted to eat ‘gyro’ for a living? For Greek Cuisine advocate and Instagram sensation, Kelly Roditis – aka The Gyros Queen – that dream became a reality as she tells the Ouzo Talk Podcast.
After overdosing on gyro during a trip to Greece and being sent to an Athens hospital, Roditis started an Instagram page aimed not only at poking fun at her misfortune, but to celebrate her love for the iconic street food.
The page quickly became no joke, with tens of thousands of Greeks of the diaspora quickly jumping on board to follow her escapades, which have recently included – among many things – celebrating Valentines Day with a giant bouquet of gyro.
Roditis re-tells her story to Ouzo Talk, covering everything from her love and advocacy for Greek cuisine, to street food, social media influencers, the internet and much more.
Created and presented by co-hosts Skolarikis and Athanassiou, the Ouzo Talk Podcast is the podcast for the Greek diaspora, featuring episodes on some of the world’s most influential and interesting Greeks and Greek-related topics including the Parthenon Marbles and Greek olive oil.
Just some of the guests who have graced Ouzo Talk’s ‘Distillery’ include; former NATO Supreme Allied Commander, Admiral James Stavridis, legendary brand expert Peter Economides, humanitarian nurse Helen Zahos, and host of the hit TV Series My Greek Odyssey, Peter Maneas.
The Ouzo Talk podcast is available on all major podcast streaming apps, including Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Google Podcasts, SOUNDIS.GR and more. Subscribe on your favourite platform so you never miss an episode.
