Anna Korakaki Wins Greece’s First Medal at Rio Olympics in Shooting

Greek shooter Anna Korakaki won a bronze medal for Greece at the Rio 2016 Olympics today, marking the first Olympic medal for the country in these Games.

First-time Olympian Zhang Mengxue won the gold medal in the women’s 10-metre air pistol event on Sunday, extending China’s gold-medal streak in the sport.

With a score of 199.4 points in 20 shots, the 25-year-old Zhang handily defeated Vitalina Batsarashkina from Russia, the silver medalist with a score of 197.1.
