Greek Series ‘Silent Road’ Streaming on March 30th

In the German legend “The Pied Piper of Hamelin,” a mysterious man kidnaps a town’s children out of revenge towards the townsfolk who broke their promise to pay his services. The Piper lured the children down a road that was named “Silent Road.”

When a school bus with nine elementary school students disappears, a seemingly peaceful community in one of Athens’ most affluent neighborhoods is in shock. Under the eyes of the entire country, an experienced detective named Nasos oversees the investigation into their disappearance. But the kidnappers will only talk to one person, demanding ransom from Thalia, a young journalist who is the aunt of two of the missing children and the black sheep of one of the most powerful families in the community.

Thalia immediately becomes a person of interest, and while she struggles with her strained relationship with her family, her powerful father Spyros tries to take control of the situation. As the days go by, it becomes clear that the culprits are aiming at something bigger than just ransom. Gradually, the case turns into a ticking bomb ready to explode, as tensions rise among the kidnappers and Nasos tries to piece together an impossible puzzle.

Silent Road is a Topic original and marks the first Greek series for the streaming service. Inspired by the German legend, the series follows the investigation into the disappearance of a school bus carrying children from an affluent Athens community.
