Greece Unveils Hellenic Heritage Platform to Transform Cultural Tourism

Parthenon

Greece has launched Hellenic Heritage, a new digital ecosystem designed to transform how visitors experience the nation’s cultural wealth.

The platform, presented by the Hellenic Organisation of Cultural Resources Development, introduces a suite of modern services, including a comprehensive e-ticketing system that covers more than 100 cultural sites.

Speaking during the presentation of Hellenic Heritage, Greek Minister of Culture Lina Mendoni highlighted the program’s focus on accessibility as, for the first time, persons with disabilities can reserve specific services, such as wheelchairs or elevators, during the booking process.

Through the Hellenic Heritage website, visitors can also access over 300 of Greece’s official archaeological sites, museums, and monument websites. Many Greek museums now engage visitors with VR tours and 3D representations of exhibits, as well as audio guides in a variety of languages.

Visitors to the Hellenic Heritage website can also read english-language articles that feature Greece’s rich history, arts, cuisine as well as contemporary life.

Currently being rolled out, Hellenic Heritage will be fully operational by March 2026.
