This new promotional video released by the Region of Crete showcasing the island’s winter scenery may have captured its beauty in a way never seen before.
Short but sweet — the video takes viewers on an intimate journey through a wintery Crete full of inspiration, creativity, spirituality and a bounty of senses and emotions.
More importantly — it serves as a reminder to tourists that summer time is not the only time to plan a visit.
“Travel to a blessed place — Crete, sense the authentic winter!”
That is the fitting title of the video (see below), which depicts Cretan nature, history and architecture and incentivizes aspiring travelers to book their next trip immediately.
For the island’s locals, tourism is not only an important source of income — but also a part of life, culture and a genuine expression of sociality, reflected in the hospitality toward visitors.
In an official statement, the Region of Crete said.
“For the Region of Crete, these principles feed into strategic planning for tourism, development and sustainability. This logic leads to the promotion of our island as a top tourist destination and its establishment as an island also worth exploring during winter.”
