Luxury brand Christian Dior is continuing with its Greek-inspired year by releasing a selection of homeware inspired by the mythology of ancient Greece.
Following the Dior Cruise Collection show held in Athens last summer, and the release of the clothing showcased during that event, the French fashion house also released a magazine and video, both heavy on Greek imagery.
The follow up is a series of colorful homewares showcasing Greek gods and mythological creatures which Dior says are “an invitation to a sun-soaked voyage.”
“The divine codes of the latest Dior Maison line display an homage to Greek mythology, channeling figures and tones from the Dior Cruise 2022 collection by Maria Grazia Chiuri. A series of objects created with undeniable savoir-faire and excellence,” Dior said in an Instagram post.
In the company’s video, a Dior craftsman describes the meticulous process behind the creation of the new homeware collection.
“This plate has been passed through the hands of 25 to 30 people — our craftspeople in the pottery works,” he says. “Each step requires know-how on the one hand and constant quality control on the other.”
