Greece announced its entry for the 2022 Eurovision Song Contest with the premiere of the selected song’s official music video.
“Die Together,” which will be performed by Amanda Georgiadi Tenfjord, was released last week along with its music video on ERT’s Studio 4 show.
The official music video of Tenfjord’s Eurovision entry was filmed on the picturesque Greek island of Symi. The 2022 Eurovision Contest will take place in Turin, Italy.
“Die Together” was selected by ERT’s special seven member Evaluation Committee after listening to 40 submitted entries by 26 artists.
Born in Ioannina, Tenfjord moved to Norway with her family when she was three years old. The family settled to the small town of Tenfjord, from which the Greek native derived her artist name.
Tenfjord has been performing and writing music from a young age and is considered one of Scandinavia’s most promising artists.
Greece’s entry will be directed by Fokas Evangelinos, an internationally acclaimed stage director with two decades of experience working with various countries on Eurovision entries.
Greece debuted in the famous song contest in 1974. Since then, the country has won the event once — in 2005 when Helena Paparizou claimed victory in Kyiv, Ukraine, with the hit song “My Number One.”
