As the routine goes, thousands of people are preparing to descend upon Greece — the land chosen by the gods, and one of the world’s most beautiful places.

For decades, the countries dozens of picturesque islands and scenic landscapes have made it one of the most desirable destinations worldwide.

Greece attracted more than 24 million visitors in 2018, 22 million in 2017 and 21 million in 2015, making it one of the most visited countries in Europe — and the world.
