Liverpool, England-born champion swimmer Spyros Gianniotis walked away with Greece’s fourth medal in the Rio de Janeiro 2016 Olympics with a Silver medal in the men’s 10 kilometer marathon swim.

He finished in 1:52:59 giving him a second place finish.

Gianniotis specializes in open water, competitive long distance and has won numerous world championships.
