Reigning world and European champion Eleftherios Petrounias continued his winning streak at the 2016 Rio Olympics  with a gold medal in the rings competition for Greece.

Petrounias, a multi-time world champion was the favorite to win.

Twitter exploded with congratulations to the Greek gymnast.
