Anna Vissi Gives Shoutout to James Franco at Last Summer Concert in Greece

Greece’s Queen of Pop Anna Vissi closed out the summer 2022 season with her final open air concert in Athens where she shouted out an unexpected Hollywood guest in the audience — James Franco.

“I thought it was a dream, but no, it’s not a dream,” Vissi said to Franco from the stage at Alsos Theater. “I see you, right? You’re here?”

“I dreamt [of] you in the past, I cannot deny that. But today, it’s reality,” the singer said before pointing out the Oscar-nominated actor in the crowd. She then proceeded to sing her latest single “Aima” which she dedicated to Franco.

The 44-year-old actor has been in Greece this month working on an untitled film project with director, producer and writer Christine Crokos. He was also spotted in June on the island of Mykonos where he has visited for four straight years.

After the concert, Vissi posted a photo of her and Franco on Instagram.

Franco, who received a Best Actor Oscar nomination in 2010 for his role in “127 Hours,” is best known for his roles in films such as Sam Raimi’s “Spider-Man” trilogy, “Milk” and “Spring Breakers,” among others.
